Always fold the umbrella when not in use and never use it when it is windy. The umbrella must be secured to a stationary object, such as a wall or tree, as well as to the ground with the included rope. Stakes for securing the umbrella in the ground are not included. The umbrella base must be completely filled with sand. Approximately 1 cubic foot of sand is needed (approx. 77 lbs).
